Happy New Year 2009!

It is now 1st January 2009.. a new chapter begin in my life. Wishing all of my blog follower a Happy New Year.


My new year celebration last night are as usual.. celebrate in the hotel (black-out date, can't take leave!). But, I did have fun last night.. Poh Ling, Liling and Annie was there at the hotel to celebrate it with us. So glad to be able to meet with them for new year.. I missed them a lot!

Last night, I managed to passed my Christmas gift to Poh Ling.. I really don't know what to buy for her, so I bought her a Roxy bag. I don't know if she really like that bag, but that is all I can think of. But I really felt guilty because I didn't get anything for Liling.. gosh, why I have to be in this situation! Liling was so nice giving me a Christmas card the other day.. she mailed it from Singapore. Both of them has been so nice to me.. luv you both! Mmm.. I probably have to get something for Liling next time.

By the way, the new year celebration last night was so much fun! Me, Allie, Yatie, Pamela, Davina & Ish was on Level 3 poolside watching the fireworks display.. it was so cool! This year, I really had a very good view of the fireworks! And also the Bagpiper band, it was so cool and fun! We followed the band from outlet to outlet.. fun! Really saloute the band!

Liling, Poh Ling & Annie was there too joining us.. and I was so, so, so happy for Poh Ling for her new chapter in 2009.. I saw it with my own eyes! For me to know, for you to find-out! :D

We've been following the Bagpiper Band from outlet to outlet.. so much fun!!

Big Supper!

We had planned to have a group supper since a few days ago.. all from Yatie's idea. It is very difficult to gather us in the same shift, and since we are in the same shift today, we must go for that supper! And tonight, we had that big supper in Jalan Alor. It has been a while since my last supper there in Jalan Alor.. and now I'm back!! :)

Myself, Zahir, Agus, Azli, Allie, Davina, Yatie & Sarina really had fun.. the food was so good!! Allie, Sarina and Azli had ordered a lot, Baby Kailan with Garlic, Sotong Kangkung, Kerang Goreng, Fried Rice, Siput Sedut, Char Kuew Tiaw, Chicken Wing, Chili Lala and Buttered Prawns.. (yummy!!) and luckily we managed to finished all the food!

Stressed Again..!!

It has been a very busy week at work again (for the pass few weeks now!).. even the occupancy is not that high, but there are a lot of works need to be done! :( I bet, I'm not the only one who felt the stresses here, same goes to my other colleagues.

I just couldn't understand why, why it was so busy this few weeks! And why my boss didn't realized that we had worked our bud off like hell!! The only thing he can do is, 'Wah, so busy huh??' and no action taken.. sad!

And I don't understand why, why all bosses had the same thinking.., why they can't work like we do? I don't understand!! How I wish I'm a millionaire now.. so I don't have to work and enjoy life.

I think I need a time break.. or I'm gonna explode soon.. :(

Rahman's Birthday..

Received a call from Yusnoor in the afternoon before I go out to work had requested me to drop-by at his place tonight.. planned a small surprise birthday party for Rahman. Yeah! I almost forget that it's Rahman's birthday tomorrow (28th December). Can't wait to meet my friends and it's gonna be fun!

The surprise birthday party went well at about 12.00am, however, I was not there as I was working and only finished my shift at 1.00am. I missed it!! :( But I had fun meeting my friends and share a few gossips and chats.. all the way until 4.30am!!

Christmas Party..

Today is the day that everybody been waiting for.. the Christmas gift exchange day!! Everybody have their own Secret Angel to fulfill their Christmas wish on the Christmas tree in the office. This is kind of tradition for us every year.. it was so much fun today! There's a lot of food, laughter and expensive gifts!!

Food, food and more food..!!

I felt that this year is the most happening year.. more expensive gifts and more variety of food as well. A lot of 'pot luck' food and we've invited other department to join us for the fun!

Allie got Dior perfume from Myrna & Suhana got baby toy from William..

Yatie got make-up set (can't remember from who!) & Mary got nice diamond ring from Ish..

Myrna got Swatch bangle watch (from don't know who!), Cindy got Lancome perfume set from Jay, Dawina got silver & diamond necklace from Suraj..

Unfortunately, I was not taking part of the exchange gift fun.. it is mainly organized for the Front Desk and GROs, Concierge and Bell is not included (sad!!). But it was fun joining the rest for the gift opening ceremony and guessing the angel. I almost drop a tear just now after I realized that each one of us was very close between each other.. that is from different races and religions but share the same fun!! This is what I like the most about working in Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur! I am so proud of all my friends.. we've been together in our ups and downs, just like sisters and brothers in a big family. I love you guys!


I really had fun today! Thanks guys for inviting me to stay with you guys in the party.. :)

Pampering Myself..

Finally today, I'm ready to pamper myself at The Spa @ Mandarin Oriental Hotel after a few days of delaying my appointments. Got more that 500 over spa points to be redeemed after promoting a few guests to The Spa for treatment and message (now only left 99 spa points after deducting 450 points! Sad! Have to promote harder next time to collect more points!). And today, it's my turn to be one of them! :) I've booked for Borneo Rain Forest treatment consist of body scrub, body wrap and ending with a message for a total of almost 2 hours treatment.

My spa appointment was at 4.45pm (right after my shift), I'm rushing up to the locker room to changed and went straight to The Spa. Was welcomed by Krishnan, the Spa Concierge at their reception desk and been attended by Sasha, my spa therapist. While waiting for my therapist, they served me with a cold towel and their signature drink, ginger with honey tea.

I really had the best time of my life relaxing begins by the welcoming foot ritual with fresh lemongrass & pandan leaves and continuing by body scrub using oak wood powder with a traditional herbal and milk. After about 15-20 minutes of body scrubbing, the therapist continue the treatment with body wrap using 'boreh' (I don't know what is that!) spice, cinnamon powder and honey and wrapped myself for over than 20 minutes. This is when my body felt so relaxing while waiting for masque to blend with my skin.. and I'd fall asleep! :)

After taking a short shower, the therapist continue pampering me with full body relaxing message (including head & face massage) with a herbs body oil by a product called Biossential. Gosh! how I love my body been pampered with all this treatments and so glad I took the advise from the Spa Concierge while making my appointment this morning. Khairul Zaman had done the same treatment last week and also recommended it to me.

That almost 2 hours of treatment, I felt just like less than an hour, with a 5 star service from Shasha (they really treat me like a guest! isn't that great?!) really made me feel a lot better than the rest of my days while working my ass down at the lobby promoting The Spa to the guests!! Ending with another served of ginger with honey tea, Shasha recommend me to have a message at least once a month due to my work stress. She also recommended me to do a facial for my next point claim. I was so happy today and felt so energetic after recharging myself at The Spa! :)

All I Want For Christmas..

Last week, I went to the giant Christmas Tree at the hotel lobby.. reading at all the Christmas wishes from kids from the orphan houses.. it really makes me thinking, what would it be if I am one of them? Or my nieces or nephew are one of them? Isn't that sad..? I should do something for them!

Decided to take one of the wishing card that was hanging on the Christmas tree and will buy one of them a Christmas gift. At least, I do a bit of charity here.


The card was from Muhammad Faiz Redzuan (14 years old) from Darul Kifayah Orphanage. He ask for a PMR revision book for Pendidikan Islam and Sejarah.. I felt so sorry for them, they have to beg to study.. meanwhile, we can get anything we want and just ask from our parent. But they don't have anybody.. just begging for a sympathy from others..

Since today is my off day from work, I will go the bookstore and buy the gift. Rahman decided to join me since he will finish his work at 7.00pm. Met Rahman in Berjaya times Square and we took Monorail down to Chinatown.. it was so much fun! :) This was my second time on the Monorail this year!! Serious! :)

Went to Popular Bookstore in Chinatown, it really brings back my memories while in school. Me and Nik used to hang-out here in this bookstore after school! After we had our Longan drink at the corner of the building (we did stopped at the longan stall twice today and had the best longan drink in this whole wide world!!), we proceed to Popular Bookstore.. buying stuff that we don't really need (stationary, books - really need them!, magazines, etc.). Wow.. it has changed a lot here! Not like it used to be!

This is the new Popular Bookstore (the one that bought the books), the other one (old one) was in the Chinatown itself but is now only for Chinese books and Chinese reading materials.

Managed to get the PMR books that I needed, thanks to my niece for her recommendation of Sasbadi publication. I've wrapped it nicely and will hand it over to the Wishing Tree counter at the lobby tomorrow.. I'm so glad that I decided to be part of this charity event. This is the least that I can do at the moment.. but I have a few ideas now to be more involving myself (and friends) into charity. Hope you guys will support me when I come out with that ideas.. :)

Lunch Appointment..

Poh Ling called me at 12.00pm today.. I just woke-up from my very good sleep.. and I was 'shit'.. my appointment with Poh Ling is at 12.30pm!!. I'm over-slept!! 'Lucky I call you..! Never mind, I'm still at home.. he.. he..!' she said. 'Take your time.. give me a call once you reach KLCC ok?' with smile.. (I guess!).

This is what I had for lunch today!

I reached KLCC at 1.15pm.. and rushed to Dome Cafe to meet Poh Ling. While having lunch, Poh Ling had surprised me with a Christmas gift.. so sweet of her! She got me a loosen-tummy drink and a supplement tablets (??). But what makes her buying me all those stuff? Am I too obvious? I don't think so! But anyway, thanks for the gift.. I really really appreciate it. And I appreciate our friendship too.


With the gift, she gave me as well a Christmas card.. reading the card makes me wanna cry, the words really touched me. How I was so lucky to have such a good friends.. and it is always pays for being good to someone. But I felt bad not getting anything for Poh Ling, but instead, I treated her the lunch (for the time being!) and will have to get her something!


While at home, each time I looked at the gift I received this afternoon, I really felt bad.. for not have something for Poh Ling. So, decided to drop her a text of thanks and appreciation.. 'Being a good friend is the best gift I ever got from you. I don't ask for return ok! Keeping in touch and keep each other update is good enough. That's what friends are for!' she replied. Awww..

Anyway, I really enjoyed my lunch today with Poh Ling.. we catch-up on few gossips and really had fun! Thanks Allah for blessing me with all my friends.. how am I to live without you guys in my life..
